1. About the Virtual Office Association
The Virtual Office Association (“VOA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a non‑profit membership organization and virtual office association that provides community, advocacy, information resources, programs, and events for independent professionals, freelancers, entrepreneurs, startups, digital nomads, and remote teams (collectively, “Members”). VOAA does not sell or provide virtual office addresses, virtual mailboxes, or mail‑handling services. We are not a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA).
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our websites, forums, events, or services (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and any policies referenced here (collectively, the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
3. Eligibility & Membership

4.1 Community & Advocacy. We provide networking, education, and advocacy for modern virtual work.4.2 No Address/Mail Services. We do not issue business addresses, operate mailboxes, or process mail on your behalf.4.3 No Legal, Tax, or Professional Advice. Content is for general information only and is not a substitute for professional advice. Consult your own advisors for your specific situation.
5. Member Conduct & Community Guidelines
5.1 Respect. Treat others with professionalism. No harassment, hate speech, spam, or illegal activity.5.2 Content You Share. You are responsible for content you post. You grant VOA a non‑exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute your submitted content in connection with the Services.5.3 Moderation. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these guidelines or applicable law.
6. Events and Programs
6.1 Registration. Event registration may be required. Capacity is limited; admission is not guaranteed.6.2 Recordings. Events may be recorded for member access. By attending, you consent to being recorded unless you opt out where offered.6.3 Code of Conduct. Follow host venue and platform rules. We may remove participants who disrupt events or violate policy.6.4 Assumption of Risk. Participation in events is at your own risk. You are responsible for your travel, equipment, and connectivity.
7. Third‑Party Services & Links
The Services may reference third‑party tools, providers, or websites. VOA does not control or endorse third‑party services and is not responsible for their content, terms, or policies. Your use of third‑party services is at your own discretion and risk.
8. Testimonials & Endorsements
Members may share testimonials or success stories. Where testimonials are used in marketing, we disclose material connections as required. Results vary by individual; no outcomes are guaranteed.
9. Compliance Disclaimers
9.1 Business Listings & Addresses. Rules for business listings, including platform eligibility, may restrict the use of virtual offices that are not staffed by your business during posted hours. Always check the latest platform policies before listing any address.9.2 Mail Handling. If you choose a third‑party mailbox provider, you are responsible for completing any required identity or authorization forms and meeting postal or regulatory requirements. VOA does not process mail, collect IDs, or act as your agent.
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 VOA IP. The Services and all content we provide are protected by intellectual property laws. Do not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.10.2 Your IP. You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting, you grant VOA the limited license described in Section 5.2.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Notice, which explains how we collect and use information. Where required, we obtain consent before recording events or sending certain communications.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. INFORMATION PROVIDED VIA THE SERVICES IS GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY AND NOT LEGAL, TAX, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE. VOA DOES NOT GUARANTEE RESULTS, BUSINESS LISTING ELIGIBILITY, OR COMPLIANCE OUTCOMES.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOA AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, VOLUNTEERS, AND AGENTS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED USD $100.
